We understand the challenges that come with starting a new program like this. Learning can be overwhelming and stressful when you have so many things on your plate, but we want to help you through it. Below are some strategies for prioritizing and breaking down the work to make it more manageable.
Don't forget your end goal and what brought you to FMCA in the first place! While it's not easy, you'll grow from the challenge of becoming a Health Coach.
Where Should I Start?
Learning is very individualized. There is no right or one way to complete the module each month.
It is important to prioritize the webinars and interviews that are assigned to prepare you for the 3 Live Training Sessions (LTS) each month.
These assignments can be found under Modules in the “Module __ (1, 2, 3, etc., for the month you are in) Live Training Sessions (LTS)” section. →
You will develop strategies that work for you during the first few months and throughout the year. Learning and completing coursework are ongoing processes that require flexibility and openness to trying new approaches and seeing what works. Use your strengths of creativity, perspective, and humility to find what works best for you.
Strategies That Have Worked
As you're finding what works best for you, here are some strategies successful FMCA students have employed.- Divide the Module Live Training Sessions (LTS) assignments and Checklist into 4 parts and work on one part each week.
- Choose lessons, webinars, interviews, or videos based on how much time you have during a given study session to squeeze them in around life commitments.
- Some students prefer to schedule longer blocks of study time.
- Listen to the audio while walking, waiting, prepping food, or doing other light tasks.
